국민체육진흥공단 경륜경정총괄본부가 지난 1일 광명소방서와 ‘재난취약계층 생활안전 지원 및 안전문화 확산을 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 5일 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 이홍복 경륜경정총괄본부장, 박평재 광명소방서장을 비롯한 관계자들이 참석했다. 두 기관은 지역사회 복지와 안전을 위해 앞장서는데 공동의 노력을 기울여 협력하기로 합의했다. 이에 따라 경륜경정총괄본부는 관내 불의의 사고로 도움의 손길이 필요한 안전·재난 취약계층을 지원하는 사회공헌사업에 적극 동참하고 광명소방서는 경륜경정 사업장 안전을 위해 심폐소생교육 지원, 소방훈련 참관 및 지도, 소방안전 기술지도 및 조언, 소방법령에 대한 자문 등을 위한 역할을 하게 된다.

이홍복 총괄본부장은 “공공의 사회적 가치인 ESG경영을 실천하는 매우 뜻깊고 의미있는 자리를 함께하게 돼 기쁘게 생각한다”면서 “앞으로도 지역사회 파트너로서 어려운 이웃들의 안전한 생활을 위해 도움이 될 수 있도록 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 이날 경륜경정총괄본부는 광명소방서의 ‘따뜻한 동행 경기 119’ 사업에 동참하고 관내 재난 취약계층 지원을 위해 기부금을 전달했다. 전달된 기부금은 경기도소방재난본부와 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 재난피해 및 질병 등으로 경제적 도움이 필요한 저소득 가구를 지원할 예정이다.

Accordingly, the KRA will actively participate in social contribution activities supporting safety and disaster-vulnerable groups in need of help due to unforeseen accidents in the region. The Gwangmyeong Fire Station, in return, will play a role in supporting the safety of KRA business establishments by providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) education, participation and guidance in firefighting training, technical guidance and advice on firefighting safety, and legal advice on firefighting regulations.
Director Lee Hong-bok said, "I am pleased to be part of a very meaningful occasion where we practice ESG management, a public social value," and added, "In the future, we will actively strive to be a helpful partner in the local community for the safe living of our neighbors in need."
On the same day, the KRA General Headquarters for Horse Racing and Racing Affairs participated in Gwangmyeong Fire Station's "Warm Companion Gyeonggi 119" project and donated funds to support vulnerable groups in disasters in the region. The donated funds will be used to provide support to low-income households in need of economic assistance due to disasters, diseases, and other challenges, through the Gyeonggi Province Fire and Disaster Headquarters and the Gyeonggi Community Chest.
