여자기성전의 빛나는 우승트로피는 김은지 9단의 손에서 더욱 반짝였다.
19일 서울 양재동 힐튼가든인서울 오크홀에서 제7회 해성 여자기성전 시상식이 열렸다. 오전 11시 30분부터 시작된 식은 제7회 여자기성전 영상 상영에 이어 곧바로 시상이 진행됐다. 시상을 맡은 해성산업 조성래 대표는 먼저 3위 김채영 9단에게 상금 1000만원을 전달했으며 준우승을 차지한 최정 9단에게 트로피와 2000만원을 수여했다. 이어서 대망의 우승을 차지한 김은지 9단에게 트로피와 상금 5000만원을 전달하며 우승을 축하했다.
시상식 후 수상자들은 간단한 인터뷰를 통해 소감을 밝혔다.
김채영 9단은 “먼저 좋은 대회를 열어주셔서 감사드리고, 작년 좀 아쉬운 성적으로 끝나 (여자기성전) 우승과 인연이 없나 생각했다. 하지만 포기하지 않고 더욱 노력해서 다음 대회에서는 더 좋은 모습 보여드리겠다”는 각오를 밝혔다.
준우승을 차지한 최정 9단은 “오늘 시상식에 오니 준비를 많이 해주셔서 올 해 잘해서 또 오고 싶다는 마음이 든다”며 소감을 대신했다.
우승자 김은지 9단은 “이번 여자기성전을 준비하면서 발전이 많았다고 생각하고, 결과까지 좋아 정말 기쁘다”며 “최선을 다해 연패를 할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”는 포부를 전했다.
지난해 8월부터 시작된 제7회 해성 여자기성전은 아마추어 4명을 포함, 총 50명의 선수들이 격돌하며 본선 진출을 위한 각축전을 벌였다. 시드를 포함한 20명의 선수들은 9월 18일부터 본격전인 본선 토너먼트를 펼쳤다. 3개월에 걸친 본선 토너먼트 결과 ‘디펜딩 챔피언’ 최정 9단과 ‘천재소녀’ 김은지 9단의 리턴매치가 성사됐다.
12월 12일 열린 해성 여자기성전 결승 1국에서 최정 9단은 김은지 9단에게 백 불계승을 거두며 대회 연패의 청신호를 밝혔다. 하지만 결승 2국에서 김은지 9단이 반격에 성공, 승부를 원점으로 돌려놓았다. 마지막 결승 3국이 열린 19일 김은지 9단은 ‘바둑여제’ 최정 9단을 상대로 3시간 10분이 넘는 혈투 끝에 250수 만에 백 불계승하며 우승을 차지했다. 이날 승리로 김은지 9단은 최단기간 입신과 최연소 9단의 기록 경신을 덤으로 챙겼다.
국내 여자 개인전 중 최대 규모를 자랑하는 해성 여자기성전은 해성그룹이 후원하고 한국기원이 주최·주관한다. 제한시간은 각자 1시간에 40초 초읽기 3회씩이 주어졌다.

Choi Jeong, 9th dan, who took second place, expressed his feelings by saying, “Coming to the awards ceremony today, I feel like I want to do well this year and come again because you prepared a lot.”
Winner Kim Eun-ji, 9th dan, said, “I think I have made a lot of progress while preparing for this women’s competition, and I am really happy with the results,” and expressed her ambition, “I will do my best to achieve consecutive wins.”
The 7th Haesung Women's Championship, which started in August last year, saw a total of 50 players, including 4 amateurs, clash and compete to advance to the finals. 20 players, including Sid, competed in the main tournament starting on September 18th. As a result of the three-month final tournament, a return match was held between ‘defending champion’ Choi Jeong, 9-dan, and ‘genius girl’, Kim Eun-ji, 9-dan.
In the first round of the finals of the Haeseong Women's Championship held on December 12, 9-dan Choi Jeong won by 100% over 9-dan Kim Eun-ji, signaling the green light for her consecutive losses in the competition. However, in the second round of the final, Eunji Kim 9th Dan successfully counterattacked and brought the game back to square one. On the 19th, when the final three countries were held, Kim Eun-ji, 9-dan, won the championship by winning by 100 moves in 250 moves after a fierce battle for over 3 hours and 10 minutes against the ‘Queen of Baduk’ Choi Jeong, 9-dan. With the victory on this day, Kim Eun-ji, 9th dan, received the bonus of breaking the record of being the youngest 9th dan to become a professional in the shortest period of time.
The Haesung Women's Exhibition, which boasts the largest scale among women's individual exhibitions in Korea, is sponsored by Haesung Group and hosted and organized by the Korea Foundation. The time limit was three 40-second countdowns per hour for each person.
