신진서 9단이 2023년 마지막 12월 랭킹에서도 1위를 차지하며 48개월 연속 랭킹 1위 자리를 지켰다.
11월 한 달 7승 1패를 거둔 신진서 9단은 이 기간 동안 46기 한국일보 명인전 결승 진출에 성공했으며 2023 삼성화재배 월드바둑마스터스 8강을 기록했다.
특히 지난달 3일에는 명인전 패자조 4회전에서 김은지 8단을 꺾고 2023년 100번째 승리를 거뒀다.
연간 100승은 한국 프로바둑 사상 처음으로 신진서 9단은 연간 최다승 기록을 새로 썼다.
뒤이어 박정환·변상일·신민준·김명훈·강동윤·안성준 9단은 순위변동 없이 2～7위 자리를 지켰고, 원성진 9단이 한 계단 상승한 9위, 김지석 9단 한 계단 하락한 10위에 랭크됐다.
100위권 내에서는 이춘규 7단이 46계단 상승한 86위에 오르며 가장 큰 상승폭을 보였다. 11월 펼쳐진 2023-2024 KB국민은행 바둑리그 선발전에서 6연승을 거둬 선발전을 통과한 이춘규 7단은 한국물가정보 5지명으로 선발돼 2020-21시즌 이후 네 시즌 만에 바둑리그 재입성에 성공했다.
여자기사 중에서는 최정 9단이 지난달과 동일한 20위를 기록했고, 김은지 8단이 4계단 상승한 71위, 김채영 8단이 20계단 상승한 79위, 오유진 9단이 12계단 하락한 94위를 기록했다.
2009년 1월부터 레이팅 제도를 이용해 100위까지 공지했던 한국 기사랭킹은 2020년 2월부터 개정된 랭킹제도를 도입해 발표했다.
12계단의 가중치를 4단계로 축소하고 신예기사의 공식 랭킹 진입 기준 대국수를 50대국에서 30대국으로 변경했다. 1년 이상 대국 기록이 없는 기사는 랭킹 순위에서 제외하며 이후 복귀시 마지막 대국 점수를 기준으로 순위를 책정한다.
한편 2022년 8월부터 프로기사 대위원회의 결정에 따라 랭킹 100위와 여자랭킹 10위까지만 발표해왔던 이전과는 달리 전체 프로기사의 랭킹이 발표된다.

With 7 wins and 1 loss in November, Shin Jin-seo 9-dan successfully reached the finals of the 46th Hankook Ilbo Ming-in Tournament and made it to the quarterfinals of the 2023 Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance World Baduk Masters.
Notably, on December 3rd, he secured his 100th victory of the year by defeating Kim Eun-ji 8-dan in the losers' bracket 4th round of the Ming-in Tournament.
Achieving 100 wins in a single year is a historic milestone in Korean professional baduk, and Shin Jin-seo 9-dan set a new record for the most wins in a calendar year.
Following him, Park Jeong-hwan, Byeon Sang-il, Shin Min-jun, Kim Myeong-hoon, Kang Dong-yoon, and An Seong-jun 9-dan maintained their positions from 2nd to 7th place without any changes. Won Seong-jin 9-dan climbed one spot to 9th place, while Kim Ji-seok 9-dan dropped one spot to 10th place.
Within the top 100, Lee Chun-gyu 7-dan showed the most significant increase, jumping 46 spots to 86th place. After winning six consecutive games in the 2023-2024 KB Kookmin Bank Baduk League Selection Tournament held in November, Lee Chun-gyu 7-dan secured a spot in the league, making a successful comeback after four seasons since the 2020-21 season.
Among the female players, Choi Jeong 9-dan maintained her position at 20th place, while Kim Eun-ji 8-dan climbed 4 spots to 71st place. Kim Chae-yeong 8-dan rose 20 spots to 79th place, and Oh Yoo-jin 9-dan dropped 12 spots to 94th place.
Since January 2009, the Korean player rankings, utilizing the rating system, have been disclosed up to the top 100. However, starting from February 2020, a revised ranking system was introduced. The weighting for each rank change was reduced from 12 to 4, and the official ranking entry requirement for rookie players was adjusted from 50 games to 30 games. Players with no recorded games for over a year are excluded from the rankings, and upon their return, their last game score determines their initial ranking.
Unlike the previous practice of announcing only the top 100 players and the top 10 female players from August 2022, the rankings for all professional players are now disclosed.'
