국민체육진흥공단 경륜경정총괄본부가 11일 광명스피돔에서 2023년 경륜 우수선수 표창 시상식을 개최했다고 16일 밝혔다.
표창식은 2023년 한 해 동안 최고의 활약을 펼친 선수를 선정해 시상하는 행사로, 총 5개 부문 9명의 선수가 수상의 영광을 누렸다.

지난 한 해 우수한 기량으로 뛰어난 활약을 펼친 선수에게 주어지는 최우수 선수상은 대상경륜 3회 우승과 그랑프리 우승에 빛나는 임채빈(25기)이 수상했다.
임채빈은 종합득점, 승률 등에서 가장 우수한 성적을 달성했다. 상금랭킹과 다승부문에서도 1위라는 기록을 세우며 2021년과 2022년에 이어 3년 연속으로 최우수선수상의 영예를 안았다. 이날 임채빈에게는 상금 1000만원이 수여됐다.
모범적인 경주와 타의 귀감이 되는 품행으로 동료 간의 화합과 안정적인 경주운영을 위해 우수한 리더쉽을 발휘했던 선수에게 주어지는 모범선수상은 문현진(18기)에게 돌아갔다. 문현진은 모친에게 간을 이식하는 수술을 받고도 본인의 재활치료와 운동 등 자기관리와 성실함으로 2024년도 우수급으로 승급하는 경기력을 보여줬다. 상금으로 500만원이 수여됐다.
평생 한번 밖에 받을 수 없는 신인상은 27기 중 가장 뛰어난 활약을 펼친 손경수가 선정됐으며 상금 100만원이 수여됐다.
우수한 기량과 안정적인 경기를 펼친 선수에게 수여하는 페어플레이어상은 유일선(7기 선발), 김광오(27기 우수), 정종진(20기 특선)에게 돌아갔다. 마지막으로 선행전법으로 경주성적이 우수한 선수에게 주어지는 우수선행경주상은 고재준(14기 선발), 이성록(27기 우수), 임유섭(27기 특선)에게 주어졌다.

He also set a record of being first in the prize money rankings and multiple wins, earning him the Best Player Award for three consecutive years in 2021 and 2022. On this day, Lim Chae-bin was awarded a prize of 10 million won.
The Exemplary Athlete Award, presented to an athlete who demonstrated excellent leadership for harmony among colleagues and stable race management through exemplary racing and conduct for others, went to Hyunjin Moon (18th class). Even after undergoing liver transplant surgery from his mother, Hyunjin Moon exhibited performance that earned him promotion to the excellent level in 2024 through self-management and sincerity, including rehabilitation treatment and exercise. A prize of 5 million won was awarded.
The Rookie Award, an accolade that can only be received once in a lifetime, was given to Son Kyung-soo, who displayed the most outstanding performance among the 27th class, and received a prize of 1 million won.
The Fair Player Award, bestowed upon players who exhibited excellent skills and stable play, was awarded to Yoo Yu-seon (7th selection), Kim Gwang-oh (27th excellent), and Jeong Jong-jin (20th special selection). Lastly, the Outstanding Leading Race Award, presented to athletes with excellent racing performance through leading tactics, was given to Jaejun Ko (14th selection), Seongrok Lee (excellent in the 27th class), and Yuseop Lim (special selection in the 27th class).
