[바둑] 한국외대, 경북대 꺾고 대학동문전 9년 만에 우승

한국외국어대학교가 9년 만에 한세실업배 대학동문전 우승을 차지했다.

 

지난 3일 한국기원 바둑TV스튜디오에서 펼쳐진 제17회 한세실업배 대학동문전 결승에서 한국외대가 경북대학교를 5-4의 점수로 꺾고 대학 바둑 최강에 올랐다.

 

결승은 총 3차전을 벌여 주어진 9점 중 5점을 획득한 팀이 우승하는 방식으로 진행됐다.

 

1차전 2:2 페어 대국(2점)에서 한국외대가 승리하며 2점을 선취해 앞서갔으나, 2차전 3:3 릴레이 대국(3점)에서 3점을 따낸 경북대가 역전에 성공하며 박빙의 승부가 이어졌다. 우승 트로피가 걸린 마지막 3차전 개인전(4점) 결과 한국외대가 3점을 추가 획득하며 종합 5점으로 최종 우승을 결정지었다.

 

2014년 이후 9년 만에 우승을 차지한 한국외대는 통산 4회 우승(2008, 2011, 2014, 2023)을 기록했다.

 

올해 열일곱 번째 대회를 치른 대학동문전에서는 이번에 우승한 한국외대를 비롯해 연세대와 고려대가 각각 네 번씩 우승에 성공하며 역대 최다 우승 기록을 갖게 됐다.

 

한국외대 문진철 부단장은 “9년 만에 우승하게 돼 너무 기쁘다. 작년과 재작년에 조기 탈락해 올해도 어렵겠다고 생각했는데 행운이 많이 따라 우승할 수 있었다”며 “전에 우승했을 때 꼭 다음 해 1회전에서 탈락하는 경우가 많았다. 내년에는 더 좋은 실력으로 바둑을 많이 둘 수 있으면 좋겠다”는 우승 소감을 전했다.

 

결승전 직후 열린 시상식에는 박성렬 한세실업 이사와 임진영 바둑TV 본부장이 참석해 우승한 한국외대 선수단에 상금 500만원과 트로피를, 준우승한 경북대 선수단에 상금 300만원과 트로피를 전달했다. 이벤트 상인 매너상을 받은 경북대와 세한대 선수단에는 각각 상금 50만원의 상금이 수여됐다.

 

제17회 한세실업배 대학동문전은 한세실업이 후원하고 한국기원이 주최·주관했으며 바둑TV가 주관방송을 맡았다.

Korea University of Foreign Studies secured the championship in the 17th Hansei Industrial Cup University Alumni Baduk Tournament after nine years. The final, held at the Baduk TV Studio on the 3rd, saw Korea University of Foreign Studies triumph over Kyungpook National University with a score of 5-4.

The final comprised three rounds, and the team earning 5 out of the given 9 points would emerge victorious. In the first round, a 2:2 pair match (2 points) saw Korea University of Foreign Studies take the lead by winning. However, in the second round, a 3:3 relay match (3 points) resulted in Kyungpook National University gaining 3 points and successfully turning the tide. The climactic third round, an individual match (4 points) where the championship trophy was at stake, concluded with Korea University of Foreign Studies earning an additional 3 points, securing the final victory with a total of 5 points.

Korea University of Foreign Studies, winning the championship after nine years since 2014, has now achieved a total of four victories (2008, 2011, 2014, 2023).

In the seventeenth edition of the tournament, which marked the seventeenth competition, Korea University of Foreign Studies, the newly crowned champion, along with Yonsei University and Korea University, both secured four victories each, setting a new record for the most wins in the tournament's history.

Moon Jincheol, Vice Director of Korea University of Foreign Studies, expressed joy, stating, "I am delighted to win after nine years. Last year and the year before, we were eliminated early, and I thought it would be difficult this year as well. However, with a lot of luck, we were able to win." He also shared his wish for better skills to play baduk more next year.

Immediately following the final, at the awards ceremony, Park Sung-ryeol, Director of Hansei Industrial, and Lim Jin-young, Head of Baduk TV, presented a prize of 5 million won and a trophy to the winning team from Korea University of Foreign Studies and 3 million won and a trophy to the runner-up team from Kyungpook National University. The teams from Kyungpook National University and Sehan University, who received event prizes, were each awarded 500,000 won.
